Fleet Maintenance Technician
Join First Transit as a Fleet Maintenance Technician. This position requires the level of knowledge and skills necessary to diagnose and repair commercial vehicles and equipment. This individual must have the ability to effectively work and communicate with employees and customers. Requirements include daily safety inspections, minimal reworks, and maintaining production standards.

Fleet Maintenance Technician major responsibilities:
Performing vehicle maintenance to the First Transit standards.
Diagnosing all phases of vehicle and equipment repair.
Removing, cleaning, repairing, reinstalling, and adjusting vehicle components (Engine Emission Components, Driveline Components, Electrical/Electronic Components, Brakes/Suspension/Steering/Exhaust, Cab/Chassis, and Hydraulics).
Ensuring work orders are completed accurately.
Selecting appropriate course of action for repairs.
Evaluating completed work prior to release, seeking supervisor approval where required.
Moving vehicles safely between job and work area.
Communicating professionally with customers, team members, and supervisors.
Actively participating in safety or educational training as required.
Continuous ASE re-certification to remain in job classification.
Fleet Maintenance Technician job requirements:
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Knowledge of Cummins and International engines helpful
Previous diesel and gasoline engine experience
Experience with diagnostics, rebuild, air brake, hydraulic, suspension, and electrical.
Valid driver's license, must be able to obtain CDL for equipment type
ASE Certifications are preferred.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
