POSITION SUMMARY:

The Pay Parking Enforcement Attendant monitors the enforcement of paid fee compliance in all Resort pay parking areas. Operates a motor vehicle equipped with License Plate Recognition equipment and citation issuing equipment for the purpose of identifying and ticketing violators. Prepares and maintains all pay parking pay stations, signage and cones.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
  • Perform opening and closing procedures including snow removal around all pay stations. Sets and picks up signage, cones, and barricades.
  • Daily enforcement of paid fee compliance with the Genetec License Recognition system, OmniPark citation issuance and daily violation reporting to identified collection agency.
  • Monitor and operate, Genetec License Recognition System equipment and software, OmniPark citation computer and printer.
  • Monitor T2 pay station equipment in the parking garage and Vintage lots. Trouble shoot and repair equipment.
  • Assit with preparation of daily sales report.
  • Maintain signage, cones , barricades in excellent condition.
  • Assist guests and employees with directions and information in a friendly, professional manner. Effectively handle first-line conflicts and resolve problems.
  • Assist in regular parking operations as needed
  • Advise Supervisor regarding problems, safety issues equipment deficiencies, signage requirements, etc.
  • Public and employee safety
    • Be alert for potential hazards involving vehicles, pedestrians, and equipment. Take responsible action to prevent accidents.
    • Report and/or correct any unsafe conditions.
    • Assist with vehicle, public, and employee accidents as required. Follow accident reporting procedures.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Education:

  • High School Diploma required.

Experience:

  • Cash handling
  • One or more years working with the public in a high stress environment.
  • Familiarity with Winter Park Resort and surrounding services; town and valley desirable.

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS

  • Valid Driver s License; clean MVR required.
  • Background check required; no criminal record
  • Competence in the operation of point of sale software and other software applications, computers, calculator, copier, scanner, hand held radios
  • Mechanical skills in troubleshooting and repairing pay station and gate equipment
  • Ability to communicate effectively; verbal and written. Must speak English fluently.
  • Ability to maintain records, prepare accurate reports and make accurate mathematical

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:

Office Environment:

  • Able to lift, carry, or otherwise move and position a minimum of 20 pounds on an occasional basis.
  • Manual dexterity to operate a computer and other common office equipment on a constant basis.
  • Auditory and visual acuity to operate pay stations, computers, phones, mobile devices and basic office equipment on a constant basis
  • Ability to work for extended periods of time sitting, bending, reaching, and speaking on a constant basis
  • Ability to work for extended periods of time standing, walking, kneeling, pushing and pulling on an occasional basis.
  • Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors and other employees.

Mountain Environment:

  • The primary physical environment in which this position works is out of doors with a high exposure level to cold, snow, wind, sun and high altitude.
  • The degree of strenuous activity within the job is considered to be medium. Shoveling snow is common.
  • Additional strenuous physical activity may include walking or hiking upon uneven, challenging terrain with heavy tools or equipment.
  • Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors and other employees.
  • Vision occurs continuously with the most common visual functions being those of near vision and depth perception.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
