VAIL - Bridge St Ski Haus - Supervisor Rental - Winter Seasonal - FT

POSITION SUMMARY

The position works closely with Service Supervisor and reports directly to the Store Manager to ensure successful operations at Bridge Street Sk iHaus. This position operates in a relatively autonomous environment with support from Winter Park. This role directly oversees the entire Rental Department while assisting in Concierge areas, Retail and Store responsibilities such as MOD duties, HR, operational and procedural tasks that are specifically assigned and agreed upon by the Store Manager. This role was created to enhance the guest experience of both our rental guests and lodging partner s guests, and seasonal locker holders. Primary expectation of this role is to drive and control the best customer experience possible with our Rental Process, and especially, the knowledge of equipment and processes with all employees in department. Secondly, to assist in driving and enhancing the pre-booking experience by having orders fulfilled and allowing the guest to bypass the upstairs rental process as a reward for pre-booking. It will need to be a managed collaboratively with the Service Supervisor and with decisions being reviewed by Store Manager. This position is also expected to manage all employees below them to maintain a high level of cleanliness and neatness in store at all times.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  • This position is responsible for maintaining all facets of high level rental, concierge, and customer service operations
  • Share the MOD duties
  • Train and manage staff to World-Class service standards
  • Successfully be able to perform all HR, Ultipro and SML tasks
  • Enhance the guest experience through professional email and face to face interactions
  • Ensure ongoing performance management and development of staff
  • Support and maintain existing and future relationships
  • Adherence to all business policies and procedures and budgets
  • Assist in all facets of Inventory preparation, execution and reconciliation
  • Reconciliation of all AR accounts including Group Billing and Room Charges
  • Oversee and plan for store maintenance and all safety inspections
  • Improve RTP reporting processes as well as Website functionality
  • Establish and maintain high level operational standards
  • Oversee the training, safety, and efficiency of the Concierge/Rental department
  • Drive seasonal changeover through specific timetables and benchmarking
  • Oversee execution on Capital Improvement projects
  • Assist in the ski and bike buys

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • College degree or equivalent business management experience required
  • Point of sale experience
  • Scheduling
  • Solid knowledge of Windows operating system and Office Suite
  • Demonstrated experience in Ski/Snowboard specific rental operations

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS

  • Honest and of the highest character and integrity
  • Strong knowledge of computer systems/software
  • Strong rental operational skills
  • Colorado Driver s License required
  • Has the ability to handle confidential private information
  • Comfortable to challenge existing policies and procedures in a positive manner, but once established is supporting of those policies and procedures
  • Flexible with days and hours of work, including some requirements outside of what may be considered normal business week
  • Ensures prioritization and re-prioritization of work time and personal time to ensure a good work/life balance
  • Able to handle a high-pressure, multi-tasking, guest-facing environment
  • Well-organized and able to see projects through to finish on time and budget

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS Minimal with occasional travel to Denver and Winter Park

This position is required to work a mix of evenings, weekends and holidays.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
