SUMMARY/POSTING DESCRIPTION:

The tuning and repair technician is responsible for the daily operation of the West Portal Tune Shop. The technician must have excellent customer service skills, and will be responsible for assisting guests with tunes and repairs on personal equipment. The technician is also involved in tuning, testing and regular maintenance of the rental equipment. The tuning and repair technician will be responsible for the sale of used demo skis and other rental duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Maintain a friendly, congenial and helpful attitude when dealing with guests
  • Assist guests with their needs for ski, snowboard, boot and binding repairs
  • Assess problems and offer solutions
  • Maintain and utilize a state of the art Montana robotic tuning machine.
  • Perform service procedures as requested by the guest
  • Inspect and test ski bindings
  • Mount and test ski bindings.
  • Hot wax and Buff wax skis and/or snowboards
  • Tune skis and snowboards
  • Process and fit boot only rentals
  • Sell skis, snowboards and other repair accessories
  • Perform miscellaneous repair operations
  • Understand and Utilize POS system
  • Handle cash and opening/closing of registers
  • Assist with maintenance and upkeep of rental equipment
  • Assist with periodic ASTM inspection and testing of rental equipment
  • Comply with all required risk management and indemnification procedures
  • Comply with all repair shop best practices and standardized procedures
  • Will receive all relevant binding certifications
  • Responsible for Post-accident inspections of rental equipment.

  • Must be able to work outside in the winter and summer under varying conditions.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of ___50__ lbs. with assistance.
  • Must have dexterity to operate computer daily.
  • Must have auditory and visual acuity to operate computers and phones.
  • Must be able to successfully manage multiple, high priority tasks.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/LICENSING:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and basic computer functionality required
  • Repair shop experience preferred
  • Valid Colorado Driver s License ad clean motor vehicle record

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
