WP - Marketing - Digital Marketing Manager - Year Round- Full Time

Opened in January of 1940, Winter Park Resort is the oldest continuously operating resort in the U.S., and located just 67 miles NW of Denver, is the closest major ski resort to the City. Winter Park‚ s traditions are deeply rooted in railroad, logging, and the early exploration of Grand County and the local Fraser Valley.
The position is responsible for driving resort visits and revenue by identifying, developing and implementing digital marketing across the websites, CRM platform (email), social media platforms, blog, paid content sponsorships and other digital additions in the future, such as app, digital signage, etc.
The Digital Marketing Manager (i.e. Digital Content Manager) is responsible for the creation and implementation of digital marketing for supporting departments at the resort. Day-to-day activities, with support of Digital Content Coordinator, include content updates and overall strategy on website, social media management, ownership of blog, CRM/email database and campaigns, and sponsored digital content opportunities all in support of sales and marketing objectives. Beyond the day-to-day updates, the digital marketing manager reviews the website and all other digital touchpoints for opportunities to improve the user experience and increase online sales.
The Digital Marketing Manager works closely with content publishing members, business unit stakeholders, IT partners and the Marketing& Sales team to gather, prioritize, execute and track requirements that fulfill external and internal user expectations.
The Digital Marketing Manager will create the strategy and content for the website and email campaigns, and manage a shared resource who will program and input the technical executions. And create strategy, manage and implement social media platforms, blog content and sponsored digital content opportunities.
In the social media aspect this of this role, the individual will be responsible for promoting Winter Park Resort and Trestle Bike Park by leveraging assets and promotions to maximize fan engagement, collaborate with all departments, brands, sponsors and other stakeholders to develop and execute social media strategy and initiatives to drive traffic and enhance brand engagement.
In the blog and sponsored content aspect of the role, the individual will be responsible for writing or managing the DCC to write engaging and brand driving blog posts, writing long form articles which promote the desired aspects of the brand to specific audiences and interacting with key influencers and publications to drive awareness and affinity for Winter Park Resort. These blog assets will work in partnership with video and photo assets for a full content library for targeted promotions and drive resort goals.
The role will glean insights from social media as well as guest feedback on the website and emails to share out with marketing and sales teams and inform overall strategy.
This role is responsible for driving the digital consumer experience to be best-in-class, bring innovations and optimizations, in addition to content creation. This role is accountable for key performance indicators around social media, CRM and website key metrics.
This position‚ s primary responsibility is the successful management and activation of all Winter Park Resort digital content and marketing platforms. This role is responsible for overall content strategy and development activated digitally, as well as driving results through maximizing all digital platforms.
Social Media Requirements:
  • Along with Digital Content Coordinator, develop social calendar for paid and owned media
  • Successfully leverage brand presence on channels such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Snapchat
  • Develop creative (copy and imagery) for paid social posts
  • Create content and posts that promote WP experience holistically, while adhering to brand guidelines
  • Work with operations and PR to address news, updates, concerns and timely information, while balancing promotional posts
  • Analytics reporting and optimization of social media platforms
Web Requirements:
  • Manage web content updates that support marketing objectives winterparkresort.com, trestlebikepark.com, etc. Gather, prioritize, execute and track changes. Check in periodically with relevant stakeholders. Work with Marketing Manager, Marketing Director and other key stakeholders to execute content creation plans.
  • Implement strategic updates to website to reflect positive UX
  • Manage the creation of content to drive revenue in ancillary businesses and promote resort as a whole, in partnership with Graphic Designer and Digital Content Coordinator. Provide content to shared digital resource to execute in CMS
  • Oversee the management of feature and functionality enhancements of online tools including ecommerce systems, apps, esigns, weather and snow reporting, web cams, etc. (shared digital implementation resource will execute)
  • Work with IT to create products and update promotions
  • Responsible for web analytics, reporting and optimizations
CRM/Email Requirements:
  • Develops all campaigns and content for emails. Segmentation strategy, content strategy, revenue driving. Owns email marketing plan tied to weekly and annual results.
  • Responsible for managing design and content and syncing options to correct customer groups
  • Ensure seamless communication resort departments, fulfill needs and requests of resort departments.
  • Partner with Data Analytics team members and 3rd party vendors to create lists
  • Execute segmentation, testing / controls, and the development for multiple campaigns
  • Oversee existing email efforts and the development of new email campaigns to drive revenues
  • Oversee A/ B testing and best practices to enhance conversion rates.
  • Oversee email capture tactics
  • Represent resort brand standards for consistent messaging between other marketing channels like Social, Web, and Traditional Media
Snow Reporting:
  • Work with Winter Park departments including Patrol, Marketing, PR, Operations, Guest Service and Web to oversee daily snow report emails
  • Manage snow reporters for day to day operations and seasonal strategy, including but not limited to videos, blog, and social posts
  • Leverage partners like OpenSnow, for knowledgeable snow messaging
  • Demonstrate knowledge of forecasts and snowfall, and how to strategically leverage snow messaging
Blog Requirements:
  • Lead blog strategy to drive brand affinity and engagement, compel consumers to experience Winter Park, drive incremental visits to the resort and drive ancillary resort business revenue.
  • Manage blog to be a relevant and compelling key marketing tool.
  • Ensure on brand and accurate content, and overall blog quality
  • Promote blog content across digital channels
Sponsored Article/Content Requirements:
  • Execute deliverables for paid media buys of sponsored content
  • Manage creation of short form copy, images and video for 3rd party publications
  • Proactively find niche PR articles and submit pitches per periodical specifications that align with department strategy
Success Factors:
  • Candidate must demonstrate thought leadership and excellent execution in the areas of measurement/optimization, strategy, brand building and advocacy, website, social media, and content strategies..
  • Previous experience leading project teams and managing direct reports. Previous experience managing ad agencies preferred.
  • Must be able to work under minimal supervision and act as a problem solver, creative thinker and self-starter.
  • Must foster a department culture of innovation, collaboration and accountability and be successful in an experiential hospitality and promotionally driven, fast paced, metrics-oriented company.
Bachelor‚ s degree in marketing or business related field.
Minimum of 4-5 years progressive experience in marketing required, featuring content generation, social media, web and digital marketing. Experience in hospitality, travel or experiential brand strongly preferred.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster.
